To introduce students to the person of Jesus and empower them to actively grow in their faith throughout jr. high, high school, and beyond.
Strategy We aim to accomplish our mission by developing Christ-centered mentoring relationships with students and building a committed community of Christ followers. Core Beliefs God created this world and everything in it. He created human beings in His image for the purpose of living in relationship with Him. Sin is any form of rebellion against God. Sin separates us from God. Without a solution, mankind’s sinful condition would lead to an eternal separation from God (hell). God provided a solution for mankind’s condition of sin through Jesus Christ. By dying on the cross, Jesus accepted the punishment of our sins. When Jesus rose from the dead, He achieved victory over death.
A personal, eternal relationship (heaven) with God is available through Jesus to all who believe in Him and surrender to Him.
A GLIMPSE OF HEAVEN
During his time on earth, Jesus performed many miracles. I believe that He used miracles to show people what life was like before sin messed everything up. They are also snapshots of the perfect world that Christians will one day enjoy. As Jesus healed the blind, the deaf, and the disabled, He gave us a glimpse into Heaven, where there will be no physical suffering or pain. When Jesus cast out the demons, He alluded to a day when the Evil One would be conquered forever. And when Jesus brought the dead man, Lazarus, back to life, we see the promise of a day when death will no longer have any power over us and we will live forever with the King!
In a world that is filled with suffering and pain, we should know that God did not intend for the world to be like it is today. The miracles of Jesus show us what God intends to do about it. One day, everything will be made new again in Jesus. |
